We are so excited to announce that Professional Dance Artist, Penny Chivas , is joining us in the Studio on Saturday the 3rd of May for 'Entering, exiting and sustaining. A contact improvisation workshop'.
Perhaps you are new to contact improvisation, coming back after a break or reflecting upon what exactly we may be following when dancing in close proximity with another dancer using touch, then this is an afternoon for you. Taking time to explore connections (both with physical touch and other ways of resonating), helpful movement patterns and considerations around etiquette and consent, we will pass through both focused exercises and also more open explorations before practicing entering, exiting and sustaining dances.
